Deweer Gallery loans the bronze sculpture ‘Engelmann’ (2016) by Stephan Balkenhol and the ‘Magnetic Shoes’ (1966-1967), a key work from Panamarenko’s early period, for the exhibition ‘L’envol’. The exhibition examines mankind's dream of flying - though without any reference to those who have actually made this dream come true. The show brings together works of art brut, modern, contemporary, ethnographic and folk art.
