From Thursday, April 16th until Sunday, April 19th 2015, Deweer Gallery participated at the 49th edition of Art Cologne, the first fair for international contemporary art ever. Deweer Gallery has been an exhibitor at Art Cologne since 1995. At this year’s Art Cologne, we presented the extraordinary project ‘Art of the Loom’.

‘Art of the Loom’ is Deweer Gallery’s unique collection of exclusive woolen carpets, designed by internationally acclaimed contemporary artists and produced at a high quality in a strictly limited edition.

At Art Cologne 2015, we exhibited six installations that combined carpets with unique works by artists Stephan Balkenhol, Tony Cragg, Günther Förg, Ilya & Emilia Kabakov, Josef Felix Müller and Jan De Cock. Other than these, the ‘Art of the Loom’ collection contains carpets by Sergey Bratkov, Stefaan Dheedene, Jan Fabre, Thomas Lange, Matthieu Laurette, Panamarenko, Anne-Mie Van Kerckhoven and Koen Vanmechelen.

To thank Art Cologne’s public, which has supported us since our first participation at the fair exactly 20 years ago, the ‘Art of the Loom’ carpets were offered with a 20 % discount.
