In 2019, Deweer Gallery is pleased to participate in Art Cologne for the 23^rd time. New work by internationally renowned artists Thomas Kratz and Nasan Tur will be presented, alongside creations of established artists such as Stephan Balkenhol ('Landschaft mit hohem Himmel', a relief, 2018), Tony Cragg ('Forminifera', perforated gypsum sculptures, 1990) , Günther Förg (‘Mr. Blue, Mr. Brown, Mr. Orange, Mr. Green', a multiple, 2002) and Imi Knoebel (works of the series ‘anima mundi’, 2010-2017, and ‘Face 44’, 2003-2015). In addition Deweer Gallery also shows recent work by one of the most prominent contemporary artists in Denmark John Kørner and upcoming German talent Anna Vogel.

OUTDOOR SCULPTURE PROJECT

'Ilya & Emilia Kabakov - The Fallen Sky'

We are very honoured that the fair has selected the installation 'The Fallen Sky' (2006) of Ilya & Emilia Kabakov for an outdoor presentation at the Piazza. We were lucky to be one of the very first to show his work in the West in the early nineties. ‘The Fallen Sky’ was realised in the premises of Deweer Gallery in 2006 at the occasion of another outdoor exhibition ‘Beaufort 2006’. As a result of the presentation at Art Cologne, the scale model 'The Fallen Sky' (2006), as well as the drawing and silkscreen print (2006) will be on show at our booth.
