'backdrop' is the first solo exhibition by Stefaan Dheedene at Deweer Art Gallery. The ground floor hall is entirely taken by a spatial installation, and on the upper floor gallery Dheedene shows new video works and objects. Additional spaces of the former factory have been integrated into the exhibition. The whole presentation functions as an integrated composition, containing autonomous works and works that process the circumstances of a gallery which, as an organisation, was born from a factory.
